Oil and cold wax is like no other medium. It is playful and seductive. It invites you to try things like adding sand and gravel and lace to your work. It entices you to spray, scrape, and spritz the surface to see what is hidden. It discourages you from using brushes and rather invites you to use tools like scrapers, brayers, credit cards and kitchen utensils. There is no limit to what you can do with this medium.

I invite you to come to my studio to learn the basics of this incredible medium. One-on-one workshops or small groups. Please bring:

• Oil paint-at least the three primary colors. Bring any additional colors you love.

• Messermeister bowl scraper, available on Amazon. Two sizes.

• Palette knives, at least two sizes and shapes.

• Whatever stencils, mark-making tools you wish to bring and use.
